Mr. Bran Sivakumar is a specialized hand surgeon with over 17 years of experience. Mr. Sivakumar currently practices at London's leading children's hospitals, Great Ormond Street Hospital, the Portland Hospital for Women and Children, and the Harley Street Clinic. 

He completed his MBBS at the Royal Free Medical School in 1998 and earned a BSc from University College London the same year. He further obtained his FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2010 and an MD from Imperial College London. His extensive training includes time spent with orthopaedic and plastic surgeons in centers of excellence worldwide, such as the Institute de La Main in Paris.

His clinical interests encompass adult and paediatric hand surgery, scar revision surgery, general reconstructive surgery, congenital hand conditions, trigger finger, Dupuytren's contracture, hand fractures, nerve surgeries, and aesthetic surgeries in the private sector. 

Mr Sivakumar is also actively involved in children's hand and upper limb surgery research and supervises MSc and PhD projects at University College and King's College London. In addition, he is an honorary senior lecturer at the Institute of Child Health. His main research interests are embryology of the upper limb and children's hand conditions. He has published extensively in renowned journals like the American Journal of Hand Surgery (AJHS), the European Journal of Hand Surgery (EJHS), and JAMA, and has received international recognition, including an award from the European Conference of Scientists and Plastic Surgeons (ECSAPS).

Mr. Sivakumar's commitment to improving pediatric hand surgery extends beyond the UK. Annually, he travels to Sri Lanka to impart his knowledge to plastic surgery residents and has been instrumental in developing the hand surgery unit at Lady Ridgeway Hospital in Colombo.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Sivakumar is an avid surfer and traveller.
