Mark Pickford is a highly specialized Plastic Surgeon from the UK. He graduated from King's College, London, in 1983. After seven years of training in Plastic Surgery in the UK, he spent a year at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. 

Mr. Pickford took up his consultancy at the Queen Victoria Hospital in 1997 and has been working there ever since. His interests include hand trauma, complex hand reconstruction, congenital hand anomalies, management of Dupuytren’s disease, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis of the hand and wrist, compression neuropathies, free flap reconstruction, and skin cancer. In addition, he practices aesthetic surgery, particularly breast and abdominal surgery, liposuction, and facial rejuvenation surgery, in his private practice.

He is an excellent hand surgeon and an outstanding educator. He has authored many book chapters on Hand Surgery and has been heavily involved in medical education for many years, training numerous hand surgeons worldwide. In recent years, he has had an educational role with the British Society for Surgery of the Hand, creating its excellent instructional courses. Mr. Pickford is also an examiner for the FRCS plastic surgery exam.

Outside the operating theatre, Mr. Pickford is a traveller, rider, diver, and underwater photographer.
