Ms. Tiziana Roggio, a distinguished plastic surgeon,earned her medical degree from the University ofCatania in Italy in 2012. After completing herfoundational training in plastic surgery in Italy, sheachieved board certification as a specialist in 2020.

Demonstrating a commitment to advanced practice and international standards, Ms. Roggiofurthered her expertise in the United Kingdom,where she successfully completed the Fellowshipof the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in PlasticSurgery and obtained General Medical Council(GMC) registration as a consultant in 2023.

Ms. Roggio has garnered significant experience through prestigious fellowships at leading institutions, including the Royal Marsden NHS Trust, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust, and the St.Andrews Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns in Essex. Her fellowship training spanned from 2020to 2023, focusing on complex breast reconstruction and microsurgical techniques.

Currently, Ms. Roggio practices at St. George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust inLondon. Here, she is an integral part of a team renowned for performing 50-80 free DIEP (DeepInferior Epigastric Perforator) flaps annually for breast reconstruction. Her clinical interestscenter on breast reconstruction and lower limb trauma-free flap reconstruction, reflecting herdedication to advancing reconstructive surgical techniques and improving patient outcomes.

In addition to her clinical work, Ms. Roggio is committed to education and mentorship. Sheactively engages in teaching residents and has participated in numerous workshops and trainingcourses to enhance her pedagogical skills. Her contributions to the field were recognized whenshe received the Memorial Prize Aldo Maria Fontana from the Italian Society of Plastic Surgery(SICPRE). This accolade was awarded for her presentation on “Modello suino per l’allestimentodel lembo basato sui vasi perforanti dell’arteria epigastrica superiore.
